Jaspreet Singh Grewal BSc (hons)
Jaspreet gained notices when short film It It Ain’t Just You Kul (1999), was screened at the CO-OP Film Festival, at the Bradford Museum of Film and Television, and the Portbello Film Festival, in 2000. Shorts You, Book, Room (2001) and Reduced To Clear (2002) were also screened at The Spitz Gallery, London.
16mm action feature Give and Take, and Take (2002), screened at the Edinburgh Film Festival in 2003, remains the pinnacle of Jaspreet’s efforts to date. A tour-de-force for the writer-director-cinematographer-editor-casting director-line manager (you get the idea), it was signed up for distribution by Los Angeles based Echelon Entertainment. He commenced principle photography on the piece after graduating in Economics from City University, London, and also possesses an A grade in A-Level Media.
Also an accomplished editor, Jaspreet is proficient with Adobe Premiere, Photoshop and Final Cut Pro.
Jaspreet has written several feature screenplays, film reports for newspaper Eastern Eye, film reviews for The London Voice, and had cartoons published by the aforementioned newspaper aswell. He is currently developing a slate of feature films through his shingle Troubled Children Films, including London set detective-drama Missing Identities.
